| or Forecasting/Execution Methodologies to Reduce Inventory, While Improving Service Levels Power Logistics describes two interlocking concepts: Focus Forecasting® which addresses the "how-to’s" of creating a reasonable forecast every day, and Resource Execution® a methodology enabling the daily review of every item in the system. These techniques have been called revolutionary by many because of their consistent results and basic simplicity. During the past 15 years, Bernie Smith has honed these concepts to a razor’s edge. They have been validated by manufacturers, distributors, retailers and back room suppliers. Having visited and exposed these proven concepts to over 500 companies throughout the world, Bernie has learned to separate the "hype" from industry best practices that are practical and really work. Are you interested in learning how to make a reasonable forecast every time? Do you struggle with developing a methodology that allows you to review every product, every day, without burdening internal systems? Are you interested in learning more about the new limit concepts of safety time and replenishment time?
If the answer to any of these questions is YES, this one-day seminar promises to have a profound impact on your business.
What Will I Learn? Focus Forecasting is a proven methodology that has revolutionized forecasting and inventory management. It has helped numerous companies improve gross margins, reduce workload, reduce inventory and improve service levels. This seminar will engage you in learning: When to forecast — when to supply chain
What are the focus forecasting concepts
What are the focus forecasting formulas
How to test your forecast for accuracy
How to differentiate between a forecast and a plan
How to use marketing information intelligently
Resource Execution, the second element in power logistics, is a parameter-driven system that allows companies to review every item in the forecast — every day. Sound impossible? This seminar will challenge your existing thinking as you learn:
How reviewing every item daily improves performance
How to train your boss to measure your performance
How to set limit parameters for safety time and replenishment time
How to decide to stock or not to stock an item on-the-fly
How to reduce inventory through potential transfers
Level loading without firm planned orders
When to make or buy and when to wait until tomorrow
This seminar covers the powerful logistics methodologies that Bernie has developed and perfected over the years with successful companies. It promises to be thought provoking and is designed so that each participant can learn and take away solid concepts to improve on the job performance. Concepts learned will truly move reorder buying, on both parts and finished goods, to a new level of professionalism. Each participant will receive a Focus Forecasting demonstration CD and a copy of Bernie’s book Focus Forecasting® and DRP Logistics Tools for the 21st Century.
