APICS Michiana Presents - Help !! My Master Schedule is Killing Me
|
Date: Tuesday, October 10, 2000
Barry E. Blood, CPIM

| Most of the problems of manufacturing are associated with the EXECUTION of the Master Schedule, NOT the planning of it. This presentation will uncover a new way of providing ‘visibility’ to the execution side of the manufacturing equation, one that is useable at every level of the organization. An exciting, NEW technique, that any user of an ERP or MRP system can employ. Attendees will learn; 1. How to make better use of their ERP or MRP output. 2. How to improve and measure the performance of the factory. 3. How to gain better ‘visibility’ of the Master Schedule. This presentation is a ‘must see’ for Supervisors, Managers, Directors, VP of Operations. and Plant Managers.

Good news Update! Dr. Novotny has informed us that Dr. Eli Goldratt’s new book, Necessary But Not Sufficient will be available and distributed at the Tuesday, October 17th Theory of Constraints seminar to be held at Windsor Park Conference Center. Because a significant amount of time was spent in reviewing the rough draft with Eli Goldratt, Donn felt his presentation should be expanded to discuss the essence of the book and the critical implications to the performance of the supply chain. As such, increased emphasis will be placed on showing how the TOC approach can be used to review the role, contribution, and grave mistakes occurring in the computer technology from MRP to E-business. The discussions will provide insight as to why the tsunami wave cure of e-commerce, business-to-business (B2B), etc. may be worse than the diseases faced by industry today.
