| What's In It For Me?!!. APICS is about education. It is about networking with your peers and solving problems together. Come to this Professional Development Meeting and learn how to leverage your APICS membership to bring you and your career to a higher level. Bob Collins, VP, Region XIII will give you an overview of where APICS education is going and how it can help you in your job and career.
· Get a quick overview of how APICS has evolved in the last several years, and how it is being re-designed to help you pump new "Oooomph" into your career.
· If you are currently in the CPIM program, or interested in APICS education, but don’t know where to start, Bob can help you determine your optimal transition path to the new CPIM program, or to the education that is right for you.
· If you think your company may benefit from APICS education, but don’t know where to begin, Bob will help you with the overall picture and how APICS education can increase your workforce productivity.
· If you think that APICS education is not for you, or that you don’t have the time, Bob will share the benefits of APICS education, and how much easier it will be to get in 2000 and beyond.
· If you are an APICS instructor, Bob will give you an opportunity to see what is changing and what new products, and opportunities are coming.
· If you have already earned your CPIM, Bob will give you ideas and help to get your certification maintenance taken care of, with plenty of time to spare. Believe it or not, you can earn certification points and get paid to do it (and you don’t have to "recruit" anybody!). You can earn points and get free education in public speaking, project management and other management techniques that will boost your career.
